Note from the Author: Coming up with the format for this battle was tough, I wanted to stick with the commentator-format but 1)Kahless and Z were watching a Star Destroyer attacking Babylon 5 and 2) they aren't stupid enough to follow the Borg around. So I needed to find someone else, so e-mail me and tell me what you think about my choice.

Q: *flash* Bonjour everyone! No, no I'm not a commentator, do you really think a Q would stoop to such a lowly position? While I am not be commenting myself, I am bringing your battle commentators here. *snaps fingers* You all should know Locutus and Mr. Morden.

Locutus: What is going on? Wait...wasn't Mr. Morden killed?

Mr. Morden: Yeah...but hey, weren't you de-assimilated?

Q: I'm Q, I don't have to pay any attention to what really happened on your shows.

Mr. Morden: What do you want with us?

Q: The Author needs some battle commentators, and this battle is guess what? The Borg Vs. The Shadows! I thought you two would be perfect!

Locutus: Satanic, quite sick. You will be assimilated slowly!

Q: *snaps fingers* ZZZAAAPPP!!!!!

Mr. Morden: eeewww...

Locutus: ...nevermind, you will not be assimilated. *cough*

Q: Now that that's done with, let's go to our battle.

Q flings whatever he Locutus and Mr. Morden are on to the location of the Dimensional Rift.

Q: Here we are, Starfleet has sent in a few reconnaissance ships and Kahless and Z's ship will be in soon.

Locutus: The Collective is coming.

Mr. Morden: What?

A Borg Cube comes out of the Rift into the Babylon 5 universe.

Locutus: Ha! Your precious little Babylon 5 universe is in for it now!

Mr. Morden: We will see about that.

The Borg Cube sits there looking lost.

Mr. Morden: Ha!

Locutus: Ah, they, er...we, er, the borg, us...them..whatever! Pronouns are killer when you have a collective mind! Anyway the cube is headed for a Earth outpost.

Mr. Morden: It's a small rather unimportant outpost. There are better targets you know.

Locutus: The Borg are politely asking the humans if they would like to join the collective.

Mr. Morden: The station opens fire.

Locutus: Arg! We tell everyone that resistance is futile! Why must you all make life so difficult on yourselves!?!?!?! Ah, the Borg are beaming in.

Mr. Morden: Transporters are impossible you know, that's why my show, which has better science than yours ever will, doesn't have them.

Locutus: Watch your mouth puny human-type.

Mr. Morden: What if I don't? My associates...

Locutus: Are not here.

Mr. Morden: *looks around, waves his hand like he's checking for something* What do you know? No Shadows tailing me around.

Locutus: The entire earth outpost is now Borg. See? Resistance is futile.

Q: Let's zip ahead, I'll summarize what happens. The Borg assimilate knowlege of the First Ones and how they went out beyond the Rim. The Borg also get jump-gate technology and follow the First Ones. Going warp speed in hyper space quickly brings them outside the galaxy.

Mr. Morden: That's not fair! You assimilate one little outpost and you equip your ships with jumpgate technology!

Locutus: The Borg are coming out of hyper-space, ambushing the unsuspecting Shadow fleet.

Borg: WE ARE THE BORG. YOU WILL BE ASSIMIL....

BLAM! BLAM! BOOM!!

Locutus: The Borg being the fair sportsmen they are have let the Shadows take the first shot.

Mr. Morden: The 'Shadows' as everyone likes to call them, have turned around to meet the "Borg threat" and are giving them quite a pounding. In fact, they are annihilating those puny cubes.

Locutus: LIAR! The Borg are winning!

Q: Actually, the Shadows seem to have the upper hand, but the Borg are making a good fight out of it.

Locutus: The Borg will win, we always win.

Mr. Morden: LIAR!
My associates have a better track record than you Borg!

Locutus: OH YEAH?!?

Mr. Morden: YEAH!!

*Q is laughing.*

Borg Drone 4 of 13: Oh no, have we p*ssed off another Species 8472?

Borg Drone 11 of 13: I don't see how, this is Species 8475.

Borg Drone 4 of 13: THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT! ......sheesh!

Locutus: The Shadows lose a ship as it withers under the Borg cutting rays.

Mr. Morden: And another cube falls to Shadow cross-fire. The Borg are falling back! YE-..NO!

Locutus: The Borg have taken down another battlecrab, and a cube that the Shadows took for disabled has regenerated.

Mr. Morden: Star Trek cheats...

Q: I'm proof of that!

Locutus: Mr. Morden, you are a sore loser. The Borg are..Doh! ...Retreating now...

Mr. Morden: The Borg fall back as the Shadows continue a vicious onslaught!

Locutus: The Borg are firing. Your associates are done for Mr. Morden.

Mr. Morden: I don't see why, those weird looking torpedoes didn't hit all the Shadow ships and it had no visible effect.

Locutus: *grins* Those torpedoes were laced with nanoprobes, Shadow ships are organic.

Mr. Morden: What the?!? The hit Shadow ships are slowing down and squirming a bit...ewww.

Locutus: And Borg technology sprouts on the Shadow ships! They are now one with the Borg.

Mr. Morden: But they crews aren't yet! you haven't won just yet!

Locutus: Borg drones beam aboard the Shadow vessels. They are moving to assimilate the Shadows.

Mr. Morden: And the Shadows dice the Borg up with their....claw-limb things.

Locutus: Some Borg assimilate the human being used as the central processing core. The assimilated ships are firing on the non-assimilated ships.

Mr. Morden:.....D*mn! D*mn! The Shadows are still fighting but they look doomed...

Locutus: The Borg finally manage to overwhelm a Shadow creature and assimilate it.

Mr. Morden: I wouldn't call it that big a success, it took the death of over 20 drones to assimilate one Shadow.

Locutus: The Shadow drone is now on the Borg's side though, we are assimilating more shadows.

Mr. Morden: The Shadow Ships continue to fight outside, but the Borg have them surrounded....

Locutus: The Borg have assimilated the human-cores of the Shadow vessels, the ships are now fully Borg and helping to assimilate the Shadows on the inside.

Mr. Morden: This is not fair, not fair, not fair! ...I'm suing the writer!

Locutus: And the last battlecrab withers away. The Borg have prevailed.

Mr. Morden: Perhaps this time, but not in the long run! DIE YOU...Thwack!!!

Locutus: The Borg are returning to the Star Trek universe, except for 1 Borg Cube and 2 Borg Spiders who are headed for Babylon 5 and the U.S.S. Vengeance.

Mordenus of Borg: Resistance is futile, the puny Federation and the Alliance will be assimilated.
